It’s Not About Me Anymore

Truth be told, it never was about me. Spreading the happiness, that is. I learned young that happiness is one-hundred-million-bajillion percent my choice. In fact, it was the only choice that I had to make, each and every day. It was the choice that would make or break everything. Happy child, happy family. I know in many households it might be different – that the parents do their very best to bring the sunshine in so that their children will feel it’s warmth. But in mine, I somehow knew that I should let the light in. I innately knew that my being happy meant that others would be happy too. And what, my dear friends, would be better than that?

Today, I share with you my personal mantra. One that I would plaster to every material good I own, if only I knew it would bring others love, peace and presence.

I am just a girl trying to change the world, if only by the smile on my face.

Yes. That’s me. There isn’t a thing about it that doesn’t bring joy into my heart and soul. I love to smile. It comes so naturally. So honestly.

Reflection: What comes so honestly to you, that you might write it on all that you own? What is your life’s work? Think easy – it goes big.

Wishing you love, light, and laughter.

Sat Nam.

You are one of the lights in my life. You have the gifts of being able to articulate and to have the words of wisdom you care to share.
