Sometimes, even the best of us get stuck. Stuck in a moment, a thought, a circumstance. Stuck in the past. Because – quite realistically – how could you ever get stuck in the present?
You can’t. And you won’t. In the present, you breathe. You bend. There is a flow. What is at this very second “present” will soon be the past and a new present will be lived. And then it will happen again. And again. And again.
Yet, just the other day, I was pondering the past. Reliving experiences that in all honesty I did not want to relive. Yet, it came so easily. Memories trickling in. Emotions stumbling over themselves. So, I paused. And do you know what happened? I realized that anything that fills the body and mind is something that you are creating a relationship with. At that very moment, I recognized that building a relationship with the past would tie me up. Bind my being from moving forward. Create stagnancy, resentment. Nothing that would bring more love or light into the world.
I encourage you to take the time today to reflect on what you are building a relationship with. And whatever that might be, notice how it expresses itself in your body, mind, spirit. Notice if it resonates kindly in your surroundings. If so, take steps to water and feed it. Nourish and nurture it’s growth. And, if it does not honor your vision or allow your inner light to shine – wash your windows. You will be amazed at all the opportunities you will suddenly see.
Wishing you love, light, and laughter.
